It took a great deal of courage for UE Local 1110 members to occupy their workplace – something rarely seen since the 1930's – but they found they had little choice.

With the sudden announcement of a plant closing, sparked by the denial of a line of credit by a bank flush with millions in government bailout money, things were bad enough. But to find out they wouldn't be paid what they were owed for their work was simply too much.

They want nothing but fairness — fairness that's being denied to millions as the current economic crisis deepens. As workers, their fight is your fight, too.
