Health care, workers' rights, labor law reform, poverty, unemployment, greed, executive pay, corporate exess and the environment are simply issues on our short list.

These are all issues affecting working and poor people — people we've been fighting for since our union was founded in 1936. If you have a moment, here are some ways you can help right now:

Warehouse Workers for Justice is a UE campaign aimed at ending the abuse of nearly 100,000 people who work in Chicago's Warehouses.

The majority of the mostly African American and Latino labor force are employed by temporary agencies, often as "permatemps," paid poverty wages and trapped in "temporary positions" for many years.

Most are paid minimum wage with no possibility for promotion. Most have no benefits, including healthcare.

We are building a worker led organization, with strong community allies, to fight for and win improved wages, working conditions and healthcare for warehouse workers.

Achieving these goals will mean these Chicago communities will thrive ... and not simply survive.

Things you Can Do Now

  • Help Fight INJUSTICE:
Tell Wells Fargo Bank to Stop Evictions & Wage Theft! Thousands have lost their homes; UE members at Quad City Die Casting are fighting for some $220,000 they've earned but are not being paid thanks to Wells Fargo.
  • One Republic is not enough!
    Donate to UE.
Your support will help UE make more actions like the Republic occupation possible. We're building on the momentum from that historic struggle to reach more workers in communities across the country. Your contribution will be used to support projects like Warehouse Workers for Justice in Chicago and other UE struggles.
