UE is now on TikTok [1]!

UE’s newest social media account was launched after the 79th Convention, with a UE rendition of Chappell Roan’s “HOT TO GO!” sung by delegates and guests on the convention floor. The UE lyrics were written by Local 256 (MIT-GSU) members Nadia Zaragoza and Daniel Shen, based on the REI Workers Union version “GOT TO GO!” written by the Durham Labor Choir.

Since the UE TikTok launched, National Nurses United [2] wrote a version of the song and performed it at their Global Nurses Solidarity Assembly in early October. The UE TikTok also features other videos [3] from convention and UE local actions, and plans are in the works to use the platform to get the word out about organizing with UE.

UE locals are encouraged to submit videos from any events they hold or participate in to video@ueunion.org.
