One of the most insulting and embarrassing aspects of our collapsing health care system is the fact that the politicians who tell us we can't have a national health care program all have access to the best health care in the world -- compliments of the taxpayers! One of the worst offenders in this regard has been Republican Vice President Dick Cheney. Vice President Cheney -- like President Bush -- is completely opposed to a national health care program that would take the financial burden off working families and cover the 47 million who lack health care coverage completely. Even worse, both of these fully-insured-at-taxpayer-expense politicians have opposed practically every Congressional effort to address our health care crisis. Because of his chronic heart condition, it is safe to say that were it not for his government health care, Dick Cheney would have passed away long ago. Cheney and Bush both should be ashamed of themselves.
